Edaphology is an important professional compulsory course offered by the undergraduates of the college of agriculture, forestry, animal science, tobacco science, tea science and biological science of Guizhou University. The main teaching goal is to make students master the theoretical knowledge to edaphology, including the composition of the soil, formation development, soil properties, soil classification, soil and soil use and management, at the same time to be able to apply the theory of knowledge to the production practice, explain and solve the problem of agricultural production in the soil, and use the knowledge, theories and methods to carry out edaphology research. In order to better carry out the edaphology teaching and learning, and constantly promote the development of quality education, this paper analyzes the current journal of edaphology teaching methods such as teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching means faces some problems and difficulties, and this course teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching means corresponding reform measures are put forward, such as suggestion, in order to improve the teaching quality and teaching effect of undergraduate edaphology, promote the development of quality education.
