The Open Regional Vocational Education and Industry Integration Practice Center is an open and shared practice platform focused on the national strategic emerging industries and regional pillar industries, jointly built by multiple stakeholders. Using the text analysis method of NVivo14, the study conducted a three-level coding on typical materials to form a“conditional-path”theoretical model for the practice center construction. The results show that the regional industry and institutional foundation is a necessary condition for the practice center construction. The“conditional-path”theoretical model of multi-task paving, characteristic mode casting, adaptive mode navigation, guarantee mechanism escort is proposed to provide theoretical reference for the construction of practice center.

Under the background of the construction of emerging engineering education, disciplinary competitions are of great significance for cultivating college students'innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. However, there are still problems such as the disconnection between theories and practice, as well as insufficient transformation of achievements in college innovation and entrepreneurship education. This study proposes a systematic strategy for improving innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities driven by disciplinary competitions from six dimensions: the reconstruction of the curriculum system, the building of the mentor team, the optimization of incubation support, the multi-level cultivation of capabilities, the innovation of achievement evaluation, and the construction of an ecological cycle system. Through constructing a course system of“competition-driven innovation”, the collaboration of cross-disciplinary mentor teams, the full-chain incubation support, the multi-level capability cultivation and the multi-dimensional achievement evaluation, it creates a closed-loop ecosystem from competition to entrepreneurship, and thus provides solutions that integrate theoretical frameworks and actionable methodologies for cultivating compound innovative and entrepreneurial talents in colleges and universities.

With the continuous development of applied undergraduate education, the traditional teaching model of sensor and detection technology faces numerous challenges. Based on the“five practical”education model, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of current pain points in course teaching, such as abstract theoretical knowledge, students'insufficient ability to integrate knowledge, and limitations of single evaluation methods. A series of innovative ideas and measures are proposed. By optimizing teaching content, innovating teaching methods, strengthening practical teaching, and organically integrating ideological and political elements, a three-tiered project-based teaching system (foundation layer, application layer, and innovation layer) has been constructed, achieving the innovation of competition-based assessment models. Practice shows that these reform measures have effectively enhanced students'learning interest, practical abilities, and comprehensive qualities, providing valuable references for curriculum reform in the context of applied undergraduate education.

The engineering mechanics course taught entirely in English is the core course of the civil engineering and International Architecture programs jointly offered by North China University of Technology. This article summarizes the problems of weak foundation and insufficient learning motivation among some students based on the characteristics of the English course of engineering mechanics. It introduces the core concept of the golden circle rule and applies it to the teaching practice of zero bar judgment in truss structures, proposing three questions: what is a zero bar, how to quickly distinguish a zero bar, and why a zero bar is needed. Teaching practice has shown that the combination of the golden circle rule in the teaching of engineering mechanics in the whole English curriculum helps to strengthen students'foundation, improve learning interest and learning quality. It is a beneficial attempt for curriculum teaching innovation.
