Abstract: This study addresses key challenges in practice-oriented education for financial management majors at applied private universities, including limitations in practical teaching, imbalanced faculty structure, and superficial industry-academia collaboration. The research is based on the“industry-education synergy 1354 practice-oriented education model”developed by Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, featuring an integrated framework: professional competitions as the core driver, three types of practice platforms, five collaborative stakeholders, and four-stage competency progression. The systematically constructed practice education system has significantly enhanced students'professional cognition, practical skills, and career identity, while providing replicable experience for peer institutions. The model demonstrates positive effects in deepening industry-education integration and supporting regional economic development.
