Reform and Innovation in the Teaching of Introduction to Network and New Media under the Background of New Liberal Arts

Abstract: Introduction to network and new media is an important core course in the field of journalism and communication, which mainly starts with communication theory and explores various communication phenomena in the network environment. This article explores the teaching reform and innovation of the introduction to network and new media course under the background of new liberal arts. It proposes to reform the problems of the disconnection between practice and theory, outdated teaching methods, and homogeneous assessment methods in the traditional teaching process, and to create a hybrid teaching mode of“online+offline”. Based on task driven teaching, it continuously innovates teaching content, enriches the educational function of the course, and works together in the“two classrooms”to lay a solid foundation for the cultivation of advanced abilities.
