The study selects 176 students from two groups, the experimental class (using the PBL teaching mode) and the control class (using the traditional teaching mode), to conduct a semester-long experiment on the reform of the teaching mode in the general education curriculum. The results of the experiment show that the PBL teaching mode is significantly better than the traditional teaching mode in improving students' academic self-efficacy. The results of this study provide new ideas for innovative general education teaching mode, and have important implications for enriching the application scenarios of PBL teaching mode and expanding the path to improving academic self-efficacy.

Promoting "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" is a major measure for our country to implement the innovation-driven development strategy. Universities with national defense characteristics undertake an important mission in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education. Firstly, this paper explores the national defense characteristics of universities from three dimensions and discusses the relationships among them; Secondly the study analyzes the universality of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities from value shaping, knowledge teaching and capability cultivating, as well as the specificity of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities with national defense characteristics; Finally, a helix rising model of mutual promotion between the national defense characteristics of universities and innovation and entrepreneurship education is constructed by studying the interaction relationship between them. The results offer important implications for promoting the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities with national defense characteristics.

It is an important content of innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in colleges and universities to promote the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students based on discipline competition. This paper takes the students in Economics and Management College of NCUT as the survey object, through questionnaire survey and online interview, firstly analyzes college students' awareness and participation of discipline competition, as well as their cognition and evaluation of innovation and entrepreneurship ability, then on this basis studies the discipline competition's influence on college students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability, and finally puts forward optimal suggestions for "promoting innovation through competition".
