Abstract: This paper introduces the exploration and practical experiences of cultivating compound talents in marine and atmospheric sciences based of the concept of scientific research feedbacking teaching. In the interdisciplinary specialized courses closely related with marine and atmospheric science (including ocean- atmosphere and global change, marine meteorology, ocean and climate change, ocean-atmosphere interaction, and so on), we are committed to integrating the latest scientific research progress and achievements into the textbook and teaching content and promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements into high-quality teaching resources. Thus, the teaching content of the courses can keep the pace of discipline. At the same time, we organize the second classes, such as ocean and climate change academic salon, to implement the concept of educating inside and outside the classroom. We also cultivate the student's research competence and innovation capability by participating in scientific research training, including the graduation thesis, opening experiment, innovation and entrepreneurship training project for college students majored in marine science. Teaching practices show that professional courses construction and talent cultivation practice based on the concept of scientific research feedbacking teaching can improve the training quality of compound talents in marine and atmospheric sciences.
