Education, industry, and scientific research are the three major resources for modern professional talent cultivation. Industrial colleges are the advanced organizational form that integrates the three, which can make up for the shortcomings of the traditional talent cultivation model of combining industry, academia, and research. Taking the IVD Modern Industrial College jointly established by the School of Medicine of Foshan University and the leading enterprises in the industry and the laboratory department of the hospital as an example, this article introduces the construction measures of the modern industrial college from the aspects of the management organization setting, teaching platform construction, teacher training, talent training program determination, curriculum system construction, teaching materials construction, student training, scientific and technological services, etc. The talent classification and training model for medical laboratory characteristic expansion, which is based on the collaboration between schools and enterprises (colleges, schools) and the combination of interests, has played an important role in the cultivation of medical laboratory technology professionals, scientific research and innovation, and the development of service industries, and has achieved good results.
