Abstract: Under the current social background of“mass entrepreneurship and innovation”, entrepreneurship has become a career choice for many vocational college students after graduation. As one of the main bsses for cultivating vocational talents in the country, higher vocational colleges involve a lot of vocational education in their teaching, providing a good foundation for students to start their own businesses. Entrepreneurial mentors can provide effective guidance for students’entrepreneurship, and the guidance ability of entrepreneurial mentors affects the effectiveness of catrepreneurship among vocat ional collegc students. Although some achievements have been made in the development of vocational education in China, and new paths have been gradually explored in the allocation of entrepreneurial mentors, there are still some problems in the actual work of entrepreneurial mentors due to their limited business level. Under the new situation, entrepreneurial mentors need to constantly update knowledge structure and improve their entrepreneurial guidance ability, so as to improve the quality and effectiveness of entrepreneurial guidance. By improving the incentive mechanism of entrepreneurial mentors, higher vocational colleges can achieve the purpose of promoting mentors to continuously improve abilities, so as to promote the improvement of students'entrepreneurial ability.
