Exploration and Practice of OBE+BOPPPS Teaching Mode in the Building Architecture Course

Abstract: This paper combines the BOPPPS teaching model and the OBE concept to propose a student-centered and outcome-oriented teaching model for the housing architecture course. This model achieves the change of learning center and focuses on the overall development of students by reconstructing teaching modules, optimizing practical teaching and rebuilding the course evaluation system. In addition, it concentrates on cultivating the comprehensive analytical ability, architectural design literacy and reading and drawing ability on the construction plans. Besides, students can deepen the understanding of the correlation between the civil engineering major and building architecture course. This paper ensures students’systematic mastery of housing architecture knowledge and develops their critical thinking and innovation ability. The model not only emphasizes students'understanding and application of knowledge, but also focuses on the cultivation of practical skills, laying a solid foundation for students’future career development.
