Research on Curriculum Construction of Crystallography and Mineralogy Based on the“Integration of Specialization and Innovation”—Taking the Resource Exploration Engineering Major of Xinjiang University as an Example

Abstract: Against the backdrop of global industrial transformation and technological advancement, higher education is shifting from traditional knowledge transmission to cultivating innovation capabilities. The concept of integration of specialization and innovation has become central to higher education reform, aiming to develop talents with both professional expertise and innovation skills. This paper uses the resource exploration engineering major of Xinjiang University as an example to explore the development of crystallography and mineralogy courses within this integration framework. The goal is to enhance students'innovation and professional abilities through optimized content, innovative teaching methods, and strengthened practical training.
