Abstract: Air transportation majors primarily cultivate professionals skilled in the planning, design, operation, optimization, management, and maintenance of aviation transportation systems. To continuously improve the teaching quality of aviation transportation major courses, the basic characteristics of the major and the needs & objectives of curriculum development are analyzed, the five core competencies are proposd for the integration of professional expertise and innovative thinking in air transportation majors. Taking airport operation support systems and equipment as an example, the teaching objectives and curriculum design are constructed for the course, a four-dimensional integrated teaching model is designed which applied real airport projects as the main thread and deeply integrates knowledge, ability, literacy, and evaluation dimensions.
