Abstract: The new liberal arts emphasizes the deep integration of undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional education, which helps to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents. With the deepening of the construction of new liberal arts, local universities are facing new challenges in cultivating the innovative and entrepreneurial abilities of economics talents. This article first explores the problems in the “double innovation” ability training of undergraduate economics majors in local universities under the background of new liberal arts. Then, taking Xinjiang University as an example, it introduces the “four in one” innovation and entrepreneurship talent training model of economics majors that the school has explored and practiced in the process of “Double First Class” construction in recent years, in order to provide useful references for the construction of new liberal arts and economics talent training in local universities.
