Abstract: As the state continues to increase its support for private higher education, private higher education has ushered in new development opportunities. Private colleges and universities should fully analyze the development status, find out its own advantages, and take the road of distinctive and differentiated development to highlight its own characteristics, so as to achieve high-quality development. This paper analyzes and discusses the development status of private higher education, summarizes the development achievements of private higher education from the aspects of development scale, policy environment, professional construction, management system, etc. At the same time, it deeply analyzes its own advantages in the development process based on the current situation of schools, and proposes the development path of private higher education on this basis.
