Abstract: Based on the background of open education, the introduction of artificial intelligence technology into college English teaching can assist teachers to carry out precision teaching and realize“artificial intelligence + education”, which can improve the quality and efficiency of English teaching, promote the development of students'personalized learning, and promote the reform and development of English teaching. This paper mainly summarizes open education and artificial intelligence, points out the significance of relying on artificial intelligence technology to promote college English precision teaching, and analyzes the existing problems of college English teachers’precision teaching, such as unreasonable setting of teaching objectives, lack of accuracy in the application of teaching resources, and low accuracy in teaching feedback. Finally, based on different perspectives, This paper summarizes effective strategies to improve the efficiency of artificial intelligence precision teaching for English teachers, in order to comprehensively improve the accuracy and effectiveness of English teaching by the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology and English teaching, ensure the efficiency of English learning for students, and promote the innovative development of English education.
