Exploration of the Development and Reform Path of Tourism Management Undergraduate Major in Shihezi University—From the Perspective of Competency-Based, Demand-Driven, Spiritual Education

Abstract: With the arrival of the high-quality development stage of tourism, the country has put forward higher requirements for the quality of cultioation of undergraduate talents in tourism management. At present, there are many problems in the cultivation of undergraduate talents in tourism management, such as broad goals, single modes, insufficient practical teaching, and reduced recognition. To address the above issues, this article analyzes and discusses the talent training supply side reform practices of the undergraduate tourism management major at Shihezi University in strengthening the construction of professional advantages and characteristics, optimizing diversified and collaborative driving teaching systems, and cultivating ideological and political education. It also proposes future development priorities and room for improvement, with the aim of providing guidance for the cultivation of tourism talents in the new era.
