Abstract: In the context of new-quality productive forces, the high-quality development of education hinges on a professional teaching team of high caliber. Investigating the professional development routes for English teachers in higher vocational colleges is crucial for nurturing new-quality labor, constructing an English teaching team in the new era, and guaranteeing the quality of English instruction. English teachers ought to attain coordinated development in student cultivation, teaching, and scientific research. With the cultivation of students' core competencies in the English subject as the starting point, teaching reflection and teamwork as the impetus, digital and intelligent capabilities and interdisciplinary collaboration as the supplements, and the synergy between teacher research and teaching management as the guidance, they should jointly propel the professional advancement of teachers.
