Exploration of Synthetic Biology Curriculum Reform and Teaching Mode Based on the Integration of Teaching, Competition and Learning

Abstract: In the context of the construction of new engineering disciplines, it is urgent to cultivate engineering talents with innovative and entrepreneurial abilities in the face of the challenges of the new round of technological revolution. This article takes the synthetic biology course as a carrier and integrates subject competitions and innovation and entrepreneurship competitions into the course teaching and student training process. It elaborates on the reform and teaching mode of synthetic biology course based on the integration of "teaching, competition, and learning" from the aspects of course knowledge system, teaching mode, and assessment form. It explores the teaching mode of“teaching, competition, and learning”that promotes the integration of“teaching, competition, and learning”, and the path of collaborative development among course teaching, competition reserve, and student training. It provides reference for the reform of other courses and guarantees the long-term mechanism of competitions.
