Path to Enhancing the Digital Teaching Ability of College English Teachers in the Information Age

Abstract: Information technology empowers the development of education and supports educational reform. In this context, the improvement of teachers'digital teaching abilities has also become a part of their professional development. Based on the characteristics of the information age, this article focuses on the new requirements for the professional development of teachers. On the basis of clarifying the current situation of digital teaching ability of English teachers in universities, it deeply explores the digital professional development path of English teachers in universities from the dimensions of training guidance, environmental construction, and community development, providing practical guidance for building a high-quality teaching team and further promoting the digital transformation of English teaching in universities.
