Exploration of Talent Cultivation in Applied Undergraduate Colleges Based on Subject Competition

Abstract: Subject competitions play an important role in cultivating the comprehensive quality of college students, especially in applied undergraduate colleges that focus on cultivating students'practical and innovative abilities. Strengthening subject competitions and the construction of practical teaching teams will be a very effective way. From the current situation, some application-oriented undergraduate colleges still have some problems in the talent cultivation process, lack a clear understanding of subject competitions, and lack a complete system and management system. Therefore, in the process of cultivating application-oriented undergraduate students, it is necessary to analyze the existing problems, recognize the importance of subject competitions for teaching reform, teaching quality improvement, and talent cultivation, do a good job in professional subject competitions, cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents, and better serve society.
