Abstract: The training of applied talents in the context of new engineering poses a new challenge to the reform and development of architecture majors. How does the architectural design curriculum enable students to build applied design thinking, cultivate research-oriented design ability and create innovative design results is an important issue facing the training of talents in architecture majors. Taking the architectural design course of Shihezi University as an example, the article formulates the teaching reform plan of“industry-university-research collaboration”from the aspects of building a full-chain through-through design course group, building a second classroom and building a dual-teacher team, and discusses the implementation path of the teaching reform plan through the course practice of architectural design (9) — planning and design of ageing residential areas,in order to provide reference for the teaching reform of architectural design courses in local colleges and universities.
