Competency-Based Forest Plants Course Teaching Reform in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract: “Ability based”is an inevitable requirement for vocational education to adapt to economic and social development. As an important foundational course in forestry technology, the forest plants course plays an important role in adapting to vocational undergraduate education and expanding employment opportunities for students. This article comprehensively elaborates on the curriculum reform content from several aspects, including clarifying training objectives, reforming teaching models, optimizing course content and practical training systems,and scientifically setting evaluation methods. The aim is to better adapt the education and teaching of this course to the characteristics of cocal vocational colleges, and provide excellent forestry talents for local construction and development.
