Abstract: Ideological and political work in colleges and universities is related to the fundamental problem of what kind of people to cultivate, how to cultivate people and for whom. Social practice is an important part of college students' ideological and political education. Colleges and universities should explore the long-term mechanism of social practice, and bring college students' social practice into the teaching plan. Through participating in social practice, students can learn knowledge through multiple channels, improve their practical ability, guide students to go out of school, contact society and understand national conditions, so as to lay a theoretical and practical foundation for becoming technical backbone or core management talents in professional fields. Make good use of new media means, integrate all kinds of resources, form a joint force of education, and better carry out students' ideological and political education.
