Abstract: The teaching content of Ideological and political course covers a wide range, which can play the functions of value orientation, moral education and cohesion, and improve students' Ideological and moral level and comprehensive ability. However, the teaching reform of Ideological and political course in Higher Vocational Colleges in the new era is still facing many challenges, such as weak teachers in some schools, single teaching methods, imperfect teaching content, insufficient penetration of multi-cultural and professional courses, etc. Therefore, higher vocational colleges must reshape the concept of education, strengthen the construction of teachers, enrich teaching methods and improve teaching content.
