Research on the Implementation of Ideological and Political Education in University’s Foreign Language Courses under the Great Ideological and Political Pattern

Abstract: In recent years, along with the more attention to the ideological and political education, the requirement of all-staff, whole-process and all-dimensional education has promoted effectively the integration of ideological and political education and professional teaching. The foreign language courses in universities should play the role of implicit ideological and political education. Besides knowledge and skills of a foreign language, introduction of eastern and western cultures, Chinese cultural elements should be integrated. From the perspectives of teaching concept, teaching resources, teachers' ability, course content and evaluation system, this paper explores the ways to integrate ideological and political education into foreign language teaching, so as to promote the cultivation of young students' cultural confidence through “courses for ideological and political education”.
