Abstract: In response to the persistent problems in the materials and testing course, such as the disconnection between theory and scientific research practice, weak hands-on and data interpretation training for students, and insufficient cultivation of innovative thinking, this paper, based on the author's long-term research accumulation, promotes the course to shift from knowledge imparting to the cultivation of scientific research literacy. The core of the reform is student-oriented, and it is advanced through three aspects: content reorganization, method innovation, and evaluation optimization, solving the problem of the separation between theoretical courses and scientific research practice. Specifically, real scientific research problems and testing cases are integrated throughout the teaching, a“field observation - case discussion - project practice”three-in-one teaching model is constructed, and a diversified evaluation system emphasizing process and ability is implemented. Practice shows that this reform effectively stimulates students'interest in scientific research and innovative ability, improves the standardization of instrument operation and the depth of data analysis, providing a feasible path for cultivating students with scientific research potential, and also offers beneficial references for the reform of practical professional courses.
