Abstract: Strengthening organized scientific research requires both research-oriented universities to be leaders in innovation and pioneers in research and development, as well as vocational undergraduate colleges to deepen the integration of industry and education and conduct targeted research. At present, there are still problems in the scientific research of vocational undergraduate colleges, such as positioning deviation, imitation and dependence, individual development, clustering but not grouping, weak facilities, and insufficient transformation. There is no consensus on how to strengthen organized scientific research. In response to the urgent need of the country to vigorously develop new quality productive forces, vocational undergraduate colleges with both technical and academic characteristics should face high and difficult goals, carry out innovate and practice practice, reflect the characteristics of applied local universities, and demonstrate unique value in serving major national needs.
