Abstract: Virtual simulation technology, as an emerging teaching method, can innovate teaching methods, improve practical teaching, enhance students'interest and participation in learning, optimize the utilization of teaching resources, and further improve teaching effectiveness. However, it also faces challenges such as technological stability, teaching integration, and cost. Strategies such as technological optimization, teaching integration innovation, and cost control can effectively address these challenges. This article takes the application of virtual simulation teaching system for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric pneumonia as an example to explore. The application results show that virtual simulation technology has broad application prospects in the teaching of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine pediatrics, and is expected to promote innovative development of teaching.
