Research on Innovative Paths for Cultivating Talents in Ocean Engineering—Taking the School of Marine Science and Technology at Northwestern Polytechnical University as an Example

Abstract: With the advancement of the strategy of building a maritime power, the demand for high-quality innovative talents in the field of marine engineering is becoming increasingly urgent. The School of Navigation at Northwestern Polytechnical University proposes a comprehensive talent cultivation path centered on interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative practical teaching to address the shortcomings of traditional education models; Research on utilizing interdisciplinary collaboration to promote the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge, and through the “learning and innovation integrated” practical teaching system, comprehensively enhance students'practical abilities and innovative thinking, construct a student-centered education model, cultivate marine engineering talents with excellent qualities, and promote technological progress and innovative development in China's marine engineering field.
