Exploration on the Reform and Model of Teaching for Environmental Engineering Professional English

Abstract: At present, there are some shortcomings in the teaching objectives, course positioning, and teaching practices of environmental engineering professional English, which require reform in terms of teachers and teaching models. The specific practical measures include integrating the content and cutting-edge information of environmental engineering courses into the English classroom teaching of environmental engineering, changing the teaching of English to teaching environmental engineering knowledge in English, and emphasizing the improvement of students'ability to use environmental engineering professional English for practice during the teaching process of environmental engineering professional English, providing support for students' professional and career development. For adapting to the requirements of the times, this article also explores and practices the organic integration of ideological and political elements into environmental engineering professional English classroom teaching.
