Path Selection of General Education in Tourism Colleges from the Perspective of Vocational Education Adaptability

Abstract: Strengthening the cultivation of talent's general knowledge ability is a requirement for vocational education in the new era to cultivate high-quality and composite skilled talents, and it is also an inevitable trend for China's high-quality development of vocational education and the enhancement of international cooperation. This article analyzes the requirements for talent quality development under the new trend of“tourism+”by visiting and researching tourism related enterprises, and explores the elements of career adaptability of tourism talents, including innovation ability, value discrimination ability, critical thinking, and information integration ability. Through a comprehensive literacy questionnaire for students, the current situation of vocational adaptability of tourism major students was understood, and the characteristics of talent quality under the new trend of“tourism+”were analyzed. At the same time, combined with the design of general education courses in relevant tourism vocational colleges, the path selection for cultivating vocational adaptability in tourism was analyzed. Countermeasures and suggestions were explored to enhance the vocational adaptability of tourism talents, and strategies for vocational general education from the perspective of vocational education adaptability were explored, provide reference suggestions for the reform of vocational education.
