Abstract: With the deepening of China's educational reform, English listening teaching in higher vocational colleges has put forward new and higher requirements. Only by constantly optimizing and improving the teaching mode can it achieve better results. Flipped classroom can improve the quality of English listening teaching through the effective combination of "information transmission" and "absorption and internalization". However, there are still many problems in the application of flipped classroom by individual teachers, which need to be solved by effective measures. Based on the brief analysis of the application value of flipped classroom in English listening teaching in higher vocational colleges, this paper focuses on the analysis of the existing problems, and finally puts forward optimization strategies on how to apply flipped classroom scientifically, systematically and effectively in English listening teaching in higher vocational colleges.
