Thinking About the Ideological and Political Education on the Public Platform of WeChat in Colleges and Universities under the Network Environment

Abstract: The birth of new media has injected new elements into the ideological and political education in colleges, established a new content system, and enriched the mode and means of carrying out ideological and political education activities. Starting from the policy background of the development of Ideological and political education in colleges, this paper discusses the practice and effectiveness of the current WeChat official account in colleges, and analyzes the shortcomings and problems from the aspects of application objectives, safeguard mechanisms, content creation and publicity and promotion. It is proposed that scientific application objectives should be set up, the guarantee mechanism should be perfected, the content quality should be well handled and the publicity efforts should be intensified. Let WeChat public platform become the second classroom of Ideological and political education in colleges.
