Abstract: "Double First-Class" construction is a new period to improve the level of higher education in China formulated project, the project can not only accelerate the pace of China's universities to become the world first-class university but also bring new opportunities and challenges for the development of China's ordinary universities. In the process of developing the "double first-class" construction, local universities should seize the opportunity and seek to achieve high-quality development. Therefore, this paper introduces in detail the basic situation of "double first-class" project, the difficulties caused by "double first-class" project to local universities, and the new development route of local universities under the background of "double first-class", hoping to be helpful to everyone.
