Abstract: With the all-round development of high-tech industry in the new era, the country has put forward new requirements and challenges to high-quality innovative and entrepreneurial talents. At present, the innovation and entrepreneurship education of machinery majors in colleges and universities is mainly faced with the difficulties such as insufficient cognition of innovation and entrepreneurship concept, "absence" of teaching and education mode in colleges and universities, and weak practice links. In order to better cultivate compound innovative and entrepreneurial talents, local colleges and universities should fully recognize the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship education, establish step practice links, and construct a new education model that integrates professional knowledge with innovation and entrepreneurship knowledge.
