Abstract: After the Ministry of Education issued the requirements of English Teaching in higher vocational colleges, more and more attention has been paid to the students' English application ability, practical ability and adaptability in English class. With the development of the times and the application of information technology, English Teaching in higher vocational education has changed from a single teaching mode to a diversified teaching mode. Project-based learning (PBL) is one of the new teaching modes in the information age. Starting from the basic content of PBL, this paper discusses the effect of PBL on the English classroom of higher vocational education. Then, according to the current learning situation and existing problems of Higher Vocational English, it puts forward specific measures such as using PBL to simulate different working environments, setting up projects in unit teaching, Grouping Cooperation, and then reporting and displaying the results, so as to improve the efficiency of English classroom and students' learning ability.
