Abstract: In response to the challenges posed by the vast, rapidly updated body of knowledge in the automation discipline and the limitations of traditional teaching methods, this research explores the application of digital knowledge graphs in education. By integrating multi-source data, a knowledge graph oriented towards the automation major was constructed, and a student-centered teaching model was designed. This model facilitates personalized learning recommendations, intelligent navigation, and interactive knowledge exploration, while also establishing a mechanism for teaching evaluation and optimization. The results from its practical implementation in teaching at Yanshan University indicate that this model effectively stimulates students'learning interest, promotes the structured understanding and transfer of knowledge, and enhances their comprehensive engineering capabilities. It thus provides feasible innovative ideas and practical pathways for the teaching reform of the automation discipline.
