Abstract: This article systematically explores the practical path of hierarchical teaching in higher vocational mathematics. Firstly, the necessity of applying layered teaching in higher vocational mathematics education is elaborated, followed by an in-depth analysis of the core challenges faced in the practical process, including vague criteria for student stratification, difficult stratification of teaching objectives, insufficient innovation in teaching methods, and an imperfect evaluation system. In response to the above challenges, the article proposes solutions such as constructing scientific stratification standards, accurately setting teaching objectives, innovating teaching methods, optimizing teaching evaluation mechanisms, etc., aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for vocational mathematics stratification teaching, effectively improve teaching quality, and promote the comprehensive development of students'mathematical literacy.
