Abstract: The construction of new engineering disciplines has put forward urgent requirements for the talent cultivation of higher engineering education in China. This article aims to address the problems of the disconnect between industry and education, as well as the insufficient cultivation of innovative practical abilities in traditional talent training models. It proposes the construction of a“dual innovation”talent training model that integrates industry, education, and competition, explains the theoretical connotation of the integration of industry, education, and competition, and constructs a teaching model that is based on“teaching”, guided by“production”, and driven by“competition”. Furthermore, it discusses specific practical explorations in four aspects: education mechanism, curriculum system, practical platform, and training path. Practice has shown that this model effectively promotes the organic connection between the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, providing a reference path for cultivating high-quality“dual innovation”landscape talents that meet the needs of new economic development.
