Abstract: ：In order to deeply analyze the scientific research ability of college counselors and explore effective ways to enhance their scientific research ability, this article, based on sorting out the necessity of counselors conducting scientific research, analyzes the main factors that restrict the improvement of counselors'scientific research ability, including weak scientific research awareness and insufficient scientific research ability. In response to these issues, the article proposes a series of practical and feasible ways to enhance capabilities from dimensions such as optimizing top-level design, broadening scientific research perspectives, focusing on practical needs, deepening collaborative innovation, and building cultivation platforms. Research has shown that improving the scientific research ability of counselors is a systematic project that requires collaborative efforts from universities, and teachers in order to promote the overall improvement of counselors'scientific research ability and empower and increase efficiency in research education work in universities in the new era.
