Exploration of the Training Model for Undergraduate Scientific Research Innovation Ability under the Background of New Engineering—Taking the School of Education Experiment/School of Future Technology of Northwestern Polytechnical University as an Example

Abstract: The undergraduate stage is a crucial period for cultivating creativity and shaping personality among students. In the context of the new engineering education reform, the cultivation of scientific research and innovation abilities among undergraduate students is of great significance. In response to the common problems of insufficient high-quality educational resources and weak scientific research and innovation awareness among students in current domestic universities, the article proposes the “4+4”teaching and research collaborative education model, promoting the reform of teaching models based on honor course construction and the construction of research platforms with practical innovation as the goal, focusing on cultivating innovative talents with new engineering thinking, scientific research skills, and practical abilities.
