Research on the Innovative Applications of ChatGPT in Spoken English Teaching

Abstract: With the deep penetration of artificial intelligence technology in the education sector, ChatGPT, as an important system of natural language processing technology, has provided a new paradigm for solving problems such as insufficient interaction and delayed feedback in spoken English teaching. Based on the constructivist learning theory and the input-output hypothesis of second language acquisition, this paper systematically analyzes the application mechanisms of ChatGPT in real-time dialogue systems, speech optimization, personalized learning, and cross-cultural teaching. From the perspective of educational technology, it deeply analyzes its teaching effectiveness and technical limitations, and proposes optimization strategies from aspects such as the construction of human-computer collaborative teaching models and multi-technology integration paths, aiming to provide a comprehensive theoretical reference and practical framework for the deep integration of intelligent educational tools and language teaching.
