Abstract: This article focuses on the problems in the teaching of landscape planning and design courses in vocational colleges under the background of the integration of competition and education, such as the disconnection between theory and practice due to fragmented course arrangements, and insufficient abilities of students in various aspects. It proposes that virtual simulation landscape competitions have positive effects on cultivating students'teamwork ability, participating real project practice, deepening spatial perception.
