Research on Strategies for Improving College Students' English Ability Based on Short Video Competitions

Abstract

Abstract: This article focuses on the current situation and existing problems of undergraduate students from Hebei Normal University participating in the“Telling Chinese stories well in foreign languages”short video competition. Research has found that participating student teams have a single background and weak English speaking and short video editing abilities. To enhance students'interest and performance in competition, this article suggests strengthening interdisciplinary team building, English speaking and video editing skills training, and using Praat voice software and artificial intelligence technology to assist teaching, in order to improve students'English application ability and promote their development.
