Abstract: Biomedical polymer materials is an interdisciplinary subject with rapid development in recent years. Although it belongs to a branch of materials science, it has a very important role and status in clinical medicine. In order to meet the needs of clinical medicine teaching and scientific research, Clinical Medical College and Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University has set up the general course of biomedical polymer materials for the undergraduate majors of medical laboratory technology and clinical medicine. Based on the current teaching situation of this course and combined with the current background of“intersection of medicine and engineering”, this paper preliminarily discusses the existing problems and reform measures in the teaching process from the teaching background, curriculum construction, teaching methods and evaluation system.
