Abstract: In order to seize the opportunities of technological revolution and industrial transformation, actively serve the national innovation driven development strategy, and seize the commanding heights of future higher education development, it is urgent to comprehensively promote the reform of the engineering innovation ability training system in universities. At present, there are common problems in the core courses of engineering majors in universities, such as a lack of experimental equipment and outdated platform construction, which leads to the inability to effectively carry out experimental activities, the disconnection between theoretical knowledge teaching and practical teaching, and seriously limit the cultivation and improvement of students'innovative abilities. Based on the above issues, this article combines teaching practice in the field of automation, with talent cultivation as the center and automation core courses as the foundation, explores new ways to build innovative practice sharing platforms, and proposes a“progressive four level”course platform training model of“interest stimulation-foundation consolidation-comprehensive training-project sublimation”to help cultivate high-level compound talents with strong innovative practical abilities.
