Abstract: With the widespread application of computer-aided teaching. In the context of the construction of new engineering disciplines, the probability and statistics course is highly theoretical and computationally complex. Introducing mathematical software into the classroom is undoubtedly a trend in current teaching reform. Based on the characteristics of probability and statistics courses, this article proposes reform measures to introduce mathematical software into classroom assisted teaching. This includes adding intuitive demonstration experiments, practical cases, and using computer software to achieve complex calculations, and has been practiced in teaching. Practice has proven that introducing mathematical software into the classroom has stimulated students'interest in learning, cultivated their ability to use probability and statistical knowledge to solve practical problems, and improved their awareness of mathematical modeling, thereby improving classroom teaching efficiency.
