Information Technology Empowers the Reform of Blended Learning in Professional English—Taking the English Course of Marine Resources and Environment as an Example

Abstract: In the context of rapid development of information technology, blended learning has become one of the mainstream models of teaching reform. As an interdisciplinary English course, there is a problem that traditional teaching cannot meet the requirements of cultivating innovative talents in the field of marine resources and environment. To solve this problem, this article takes the English course of marine resources and environment as an example, uses information technology to implement a blended teaching reform of online and offline, combines the learning platform and rain classroom platform, constructs an organic integration of online and offline teaching mode, innovates the course teaching process, and optimizes the evaluation mechanism. This reform has effectively improved classroom teaching efficiency, cultivated students'self-learning ability and professional English application ability, and can provide reference for the cultivation of innovative marine science talents.
