Abstract: At present, with the rise of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, the tradieional talent cultivation model in the Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering major at Huzhou College is struggling to meet the needs of local economic and social development. Addressing these issues, this paper proposes reforms and innovations in the talent cultivation model based on industry-education integration, taking advantage of the new engineering initiative and grounded in the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) concept. The reform explores a new model of talent cultivation that aligns with the operation of application-oriented undergraduate colleges and features the regional industry, starting from setting talent cultivation goals, optimizing the curriculum system structure, fostering collaboration in industry-education integration, building a team of “dual-qualified” teachers, and constructing a diversified evaluation mechanism. The effectiveness of the reform is significant, offering valuable insights for similar colleges looking to improve their talent cultivation model.
