Application of Project Teaching Method Based on the Wisdom Fish Model in the Teaching of Mechanical Design Fundamentals

Abstract: Fundamentals of mechanical design is the core course of mechanical engineering major, which is crucial for cultivating students’design ability and innovative thinking. Traditional classroom teaching methods often focus on theory, which is difficult to stimulate students'learning interest and cultivate students’practical abilities. This article studies the application of project-based teaching method based on the wisdom fish model in the teaching of mechanical design foundation courses. Through the introduction of the wisdom fish model, practical projects are introduced into the classroom, allowing students to learn and practice in real scenarios, improving practical abilities and innovative thinking. The results show that compared with traditional teaching methods, project-based teaching based on the wisdom fish model can effectively improve students’learning interest and effectiveness, cultivate their comprehensive abilities and teamwork spirit.
