Construction and Reflection on the Teaching Model of “Integration of Specialization and Innovation” in Industrial Design Majors

Abstract: At present, in the process of integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into professional education, the industrial design major has encountered practical problems such as independent entrepreneurship education, lack of organic integration between practical and theoretical teaching, and lack of continuous improvement mechanisms in teaching. These problems constrain the development of industrial design innovation and entrepreneurship education and the improvement of student innovation abilities. This article addresses the existing problems in the integration of specialized and creative education in industrial design majors, and constructs a“mentor senior studio system”and“specialized and creative integration”teaching model guided by student outcomes. Intended to improve the quality of industrial design professional education and entrepreneurship education, enhance the integration of professional expertise and innovation, promote the deepening of industrial design industry education integration, and enhance the quality of industrial design talent cultivation.
